THE SMOKIN'
CRAWDADS
|
| From Left to Right: Mick Anderson,
Mike Martin, Andy Tainsh, Vaughan Jones, make
up The Smokin' Crawdads from Brisbane. They led off the Sunday
Festival Concert with hand clapping and foot tapping music
and vocals. They are a very professional band and this year
we had the pleasure of a keyboard player who joins them for
larger gigs. They really WOWED us plus. Thank you for all
the hard work you put in for us guys, we know the Artists
enjoyed playing to your backing. |

MARK MOULYNOX
From Tamworth. New South Wales. Australia
|
| |
|
|
Mark Moulynox enjoys playing a Single Necked Pedal
Steel Guitar, a Dobro and a Banjo. How's that for versatility,
and he played each instrument showing his terrific musicianship.
He held the audience's attention for the duration of his
playing. Listening to Mark was a great way to start off
a varied Programme. Mark was also one of the tutors for
our Seminar, and from all reports he was well received.

KEN
BAKER
from
Lavington, New South Wales. Australia |
| |
Ken Baker played a Double Necked Emmons Pedal
Steel Guitar, and was backed by the band along with
his son Phil.
Ken proved to be a very accomplished player
who enjoys playing Jazz and Blues, and improvising
very well. We also got the feeling that Ken had an
influence on his son.

PHIL
BAKER
from
Albury. New South Wales. Australia |

Apart from Phil being very good on the Rhythm
Guitar, his forte is the Double Necked Sho Bud Pedal
Steel Guitar.
Phil had us spell bound with his renditions
on the Pedal Steel Guitar, and like his Dad leans
towards Jazz and Blues. Phil is a very accomplished
young player who obviously enjoys his music.

Samson James is a popular

Well what can we say about being honoured
with Kenny's presence. His expertise and versatility
are superb. This photo also shows that Kenny thoroughly
enjoyed himself at the Festival and we thoroughly
enjoyed his ability and style of playing. He isn't
only a terrific player, but he is also a very genuine
man of the Steel and personage.
Kenny not only played in his allotted programme
time but he also backed Samson with the band.
Thank you Kenny.
Kenny has a life time of music behind him
and we hope he has many more to come.
